Hamden Mart is a 345,000 SF community center located on Dixwell Avenue, the dominant retail corridor in town. Co-tenants within the center include Walmart, Burlington Stores, Edge Fitness Club, Bob’s Stores, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Dollar Tree and more. These represented an exclent opportunity for Aldi to grocery anchor a dominant class A retail center in a great market and we’re excited to see them succeed here.

Aldi Food Market is a global discount supermarket brand with over 10,000 locations in 18 countries. Based in Germany, the chain was founded by brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht in 1946. The Albrecht’s also own the ever popular Trader Joes supermarket brand, sister company to Aldi’s Food Market.
