SullivanHayes is pleased to announce that Tim McNamara and Kevin Daley have worked on behalf of client Aldi Food Market to secure a new 19,000 SF store in the new retail development located at 2419 Cranberry Highway in Wareham, MA. This new development, Wareham Marketplace is co-tenanted by AutoZone, and shadow anchored by a brand new Walmart Super store that shares a signalized intersection with the new shopping center.

Aldi Food Market is a global discount supermarket brand with over 10,000 locations in 18 countries. Based in Germany, the chain was founded by brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht in 1946. The Albrecht’s also own the ever popular Trader Joes supermarket brand, sister company to Aldi’s Food Market. Aldi’s currently operates more than 1,600 stores within the United States, with US headquarters in Batavia, Illinois. “Simply Smarter Shopping” is the Aldi’s mission. Well known for their in store efficiencies and best practices, Aldi’s is constantly innovating in order to provide their customers with great products at low prices. Aldi stores are typically 19,247 swure feet, and the preference is to purchase or ground lease and build free standing stores to their exact specifications. They will also consider in-line deals with a preference for end cap space depending on the deal and market.
