The first Storming Crab restaurant was opened in Clarkesville, Tennessee in late 2017 by Kevin Weng and Sam Weng. The atmosphere is nautical and casual with an open concept to give it a lively feeling. There are ropes wrapped around posts to mimic a boat dock setting, and memorabilia strung to the ceiling with nets filled with kayaks and fake fish. It is a place where you are welcome to feel at home and to get messy with all of the mouthwatering seafood. The menu offers a variety of fresh and delicious Cajun style seafood, made with recipes formulated by the owners themselves. It features seafood served at market price by the pound, and allows you to choose the flavor and spice level.
Currently, there are 17 locations open and 6 more to be coming soon. Storming Crab is a large format restaurant concept seeking sites in the northeast. Specifically looking for former restaurant spaces with infrastructure in place to minimize upfront costs.
