Andrew Armata joined SullivanHayes in January 2016 to focus on retail real estate throughout New England, after 7 years working as a generalist commercial real estate broker with The Macmillan Group in Springfield, Massachusetts. At Macmillan, Andrew was responsible for leasing over 2 million square feet of commercial real estate. It was because of his existing business leasing retail properties and working with convenience stores, travel center operators and hospitality developers that he decided it was time to join a team specializing in retail real estate.
Andrew has had an inherent understanding and interest in retail real estate since a very young age, as his family owned and operated a super market chain throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts for three generations. With this unique perspective as a retailer, Andrew truly understands the clients need when advising on their expanding footprint and site selection analysis. Additionally, Andrew also spent a number of years after college working in Washington, DC as a staff member for a prominent US Senator.
Andrew holds a BA in International Studies from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He is also an active member of The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and a member of the Parish Council and Finance Committee for the Church of St. Timothy (Archdiocese of Hartford) in West Hartford, CT.
