Brian Knowles joined SullivanHayes in 2004 and has been instrumental in the roll out of many prominent retailers throughout the Northeast, including CVS, Cumberland Farms, The Fresh Market, Chase Bank and Buffalo Wild Wings. He is consistently recognized as one of the top performing brokers in New England and Eastern NY. Brian is knowledgeable and experienced in all markets covered by SullivanHayes Northeast. In particular, Brian is considered the foremost expert when it comes to free standing STNL retail and development sites in the Eastern NY, CT and Western & Central, MA markets. Throughout his career at SullivanHayes, Brian has negotiated more than 150 transactions with a value exceeding $250 million.

Prior to SullivanHayes, Brian was a Director of Leasing at the Pyramid Companies for 5 years, one of the country’s most successful enclosed regional mall developers. In this capacity, Brian forged relationships with many of the country’s leading retailers, and gained vast experience leasing some of the most successful enclosed malls in the country including Palisades Center in Nyack, NY, Crossgate Center in Albany, NY, Holyoke Mall at Ingleside in Holyoke, MA, Walden Galleria in Buffalo, NY, and Destiny USA in Syracuse, NY.

With such a strong background in retail leasing, Brian has been able to successfully leverage his extensive industry relationships to help many of his landlord clients add value through the lease up of vacant space and ground up development. He is trusted by some of the country’s premier developers, REITS, private equity firms and family offices in helping them position their properties for long term success, including Benderson Development, Kimco, AVR Realty, Udolf Properties and Delorentis Management.

Brian holds a BS and MBA from American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA. He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
