International House of Pancakes first opened its doors in the suburbs of Los Angeles in 1958. Over the next few years they began to expand through franchising and in 1973 they introduced the acronym “IHOP” through a new marketing campaign. Since then, IHOP has been the name people know and recognize as the place where they can enjoy their favorite breakfast experience, any time of day.
Today, IHOP has over 1,400 locations throughout the US and continues to grow both in the US and internationally. Currently, there are more than 70 locations in Bahrain, Canada, Dubai (UAE), Guatemala, Kuwait, Mexico, The Philippines, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
